
LID-Safe Pizza
Pizza suitable for Low-Iodine Diet for folks readying for radioactive iodine treatment.
Ingredients
- 1 each pizza crust Pillsbury
- 4 tbsp pizza sauce Bertolli
- ⅓ cup mozzarella substitute Daiya
- ¼ small onion
- ¼ cup shredded, safely seasoned, cooked chicken McCormack Montreal Chicken
- ¼ cup sliced mushrooms
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 425°
- Spread out pizza crust.
- Spread sauce across crust.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Distribute other toppings.
- Cook for 15 minutes or until crust is golden on edges.
Notes
If you are on the LID diet, remember that you must check your ingredients and manufacturers every time because they can change by date and differ by location!
Daiya cheese works better as a hint of cheese rather than a substitute. I found a little was better than a lot.
